I’m motivated by solving problems. From doing puzzles for fun to tackling real-life challenges, I find great satisfaction in finding ways to make things work, particularly when it’s not easy. At Cranemere, I enjoy working with entrepreneurs and management teams of our operating companies to navigate as a team the inevitable hurdles on a company’s journey.

When I’m not working, I look for intellectual stimulation in my hobbies. I can spend hours visualizing things and finding ways to make them a reality, whether it’s executing a strategy in a chess game or experimenting with techniques to draw an image from my imagination. Things are never perfect in the beginning and may not be for a long time, but it is the challenging journey that makes reaching an end product so gratifying.

One of my favorite quotes is Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s “I would like to be remembered as someone who used whatever talent she had to do her work to the very best of her ability.” No matter their talents, I respect and admire people who are passionate about what they do and give what they do their all.
